Sindy Our Pedigree Girl Of The 60's

 The 1977 Mix and match range was Sindy's first set of seperates that really co-ordinated with each other. Mix and match was born ! The range was in cornflower blue, deep pink, and golden yellow. Here's Lovely Lively Sindy in the perfect outfit for just relaxing at home, or popping round a friends for coffee. The top is a thickish nylon with scouped round neck, long sleeves and a tight waisted hem band. Giving the fashionable 'blousen' look. The trousers are wonderful fashionable flares in deep pink thick cotton and Sindy wears white tassle/crown front shoes.This outfit is just tooo cute ! The trousers actually came in a pack with the blue skirt, and the top came in a pack with the blue shirt.

 The blue skirt and shirt ! A really smart combination of Crisp cornflower blue cotton shirt with great collar and rolled up short sleeve detail. A lovely cool shirt to wear on a hot summers day. The skirt is in thick cotton, the same colour as the shirt and in a very simple 'A' line style which just skims the knees. Sindy also wears her white tassle/crown front shoes with this 'outfit'. Perfect for the office or a summer shopping trip.

 Well, we've 'matched'...so now lets mix ! The pink blousen style top with the blue 'A' line skirt has that really 'homely' feel about it, so relaxed and informal, you can just imagine Sindy wearing this while crashed out on the sofa listening to her radiogram, or maybe even doing some pruning in the garden on a bright summers afternoon.

 A very casual look is achieved by popping the blue shirt with the pink trousers, I must say that thgis range was really well cut, notice how it really shows off Sindy's figure. This combo is perfect for the nitty gritty jobs, so Sindy still looks up to date and smart, even when doing  the housework, and washing the car !

 This snazzy cornflower blue jacket is perfect when Sindy goes for an evening stroll, she pops it over her  pink trousers and white shoes, it comes with a cute flowered scarf as well,this one is home made but like the original.

 For a much more casual look, when Sindy goes to her night school art class, she wears the same combination but  swaps the scarf for her pink sweater and leaves her jacket left untied, nd wears blue shoes, Sindy really knows how to create a look eh !

 A  very smart young miss in this lovely matching combination of skirt and jacket with natty scarf . Sindy puts this look together when she's off to see her bank manager ! No doubt to increase her overdraft for more clothes !

  Pretty Pose Sindy was the obvious choice for this yummy fake fur jacket in bright pink, she looks so gorgeous in it, she's matched it up with pink trousers and white shoes, and is off to the the loacl disco.

 For a casual evening in town Sindy swaps the trousers for her blue skirt and goes off to see the latest 'Chick Flick' at the movies.

1978, the 'Missing Year' in that great book, 'History Of Sindy' by Collette Mansell. But it did exsist, and ther were lots of lovely outfits that year. And a brand new set of 'Mix and Match', so once again children all over the country could practice their fashion stylist skills and create lots of great outfits for their special Sindy. Pedigree must have come over all patriotic after the Queens Silver Jubilee of the previous year, for this years 'Mix and Match' range came in Red, White and Blue. Fly the flag Sindy !

 Sindy's off to the Jubilee parade in this lovely little combination, a light, crisp cotton top in red, white and blue horizontal sripes, cinched at the waist with a red cord tie belt, a very simple design, almost like a tabbard in style. She wears a navy blue 'A' line skirt in a slightly heavier cotton with panel detail at the front, just charming.

 The evenings are drawing in and Sindy slips on her pillar box red brush nylon bomber jacket with two front slant pockets, collar detail and tie cord waist, she'll be snuggly warm in that, and look so cute to.

 Off to a party and Sindy wears her favourite 'T' shirt, white stretch nylon with her very own heart logo printed on the front, this was available in little girls sizes to, so you could be wearing the same 'T' shirt as your Sindy to the party, another really cute, and fun seperate. 

 Sindys at the fair ground and is having such a laugh in the fun house, that blast of air from the grill beneath her made her jump ! She's wearing her red jacket and has teamed it up this time with a white cotton skirt finished at the hem with a pleated flare in red, white and blue horizontal sripes, such fun !

 Off for a walk along the beach in her favourite 'T' shirt, and her flared hem skirt which catches the cool sea breeze, the perfect combinaton for a cool, relaxing walk along the coast.

 Sindy has united he striped top and flared hem skirt to be just about as patriotic as she can get, waving the red, white and blue for her country, three cheers for Sindy ! The United Kingdoms favourite fashion doll.

 The picture of sheer elegance and yet so casual, how does she do it ? Sindy wears rich red , crisply pressed cotton pants with a wide fashionable flare, topped with her stripey top she looks so smart, an evening at the theatre may be on the cards tonight.

 It's the weekend, and what a lovely day to take the dog out for along country walk, and what better combination to wear than Sindys fab flares and favourite 'T' shirt, so relaxed, and so very Sindy.

 Winter walks are bright and fashionable in Sindys snuggly warm jacket and groovy wide flares, a real head turner wherever Sindy goes.

Sindy's Seperates, Casuals and Mix 'n' Match ranges were pocket money fashions for extra play value, they often get overlooked as 'not as important' as Sindy's main outfits with all their accessories, but look again ! Hours of fun can be had with them, especially the Mix 'n' Match ranges, which offer tons of variations in how Sindy looks for the day, great for the aspiring young fashion designer to test out their skills at composing an outfit, who knows, maybe that's how Trinny and Susanna started out !? Lets take a look at firstly, Sindy's 1980 Mix 'n' Match range, in fresh green gingham, white and bottle green, the perfect set of clothes for a holiday....

Here, Sindy wears the shirt and slacks 'pyjama' style, matching, rather than mixing, a really crisp smart, but casual look, great for sight seeing, coffeee mornings and shopping for those holiday souvenirs.

Smart white jeans with green stitch detail worn with white wedge clogs are topped with a blousen style top in crisp cotton with ribbed V neck, cuffs and hem, so smart and yet so perfect for relaxing in.

This time Sindy tops her smart gingham slacks with a cosy thick cotton jersey ribbed sweater with bat wing sleeves, she's now ready for a romantic evening walk along the prom.

For a slightly smarter look in the evenings, Sindy pops on her bottle green jacket with white stitch detail, she also has a matching shoulder bag. A comfortable yet smart outfit for a night out at the pier theatre.

For extra casual days, and those days when the sun really shines, Sindy pops on her logo Tee-Shirt (this one is a bit damaged !) it's made of stretchy nylon and hugs her trim figure.

Gingham slacks and top matched for more holiday relaxation, maybe a trip to Chedder Gorge, or the funfair, whatever the event, Sindy will be cool, comfortable and smart in this combination.

Sindy's logo Tee-Shirt topping her white jeans is a perfect disco outfit, especially when that ultra violet light pics Sindy out as the belle of the dance floor.

Sindy's off to the movies, she slips on her bottle green jacket to keep the chill of the evening off, and takes along her shoulder bag, full of goodies to munch on while watching the main feature.

An evening at the fun fair and this outfit is perfect for those helter skelter rides and  fun house air blowers !

All cosy and snug in her white ensemble, Sindy sits in the pavillion and watches the twinkling lights of the local fishing boats out on the ink blue sea, reflecting the stars and ivory moon while she sips her frothy hot chocolate.

Out on the crazy golf course Sindy has great fun, and still looks so smart and yet remains so cool and comfortable in her white jeans and gingham shirt.

Sindy's off to the local barn dance, so she wears her A line bottle green skirt with white stitch detail teamed with her gingham shirt, a great combination for an evening of country dancing.

For a smarter event, the annual flower show, Sindy matches her skirt with her bottle green jacket, so smart and yet so comfortable, Sindy always hits the right note whatever she wears.

The sky has clouded over and there's a crisp breeze in the air, but that doesn't bother Sindy, she slips on her blousen jacket and goes for a refreshing walk across the moors in this lovely combination.

Off to the ice cream parlour for a special holiday treat and Sindy wears her Tee-Shirt and Skirt. On a hot, sunny day, Sindy remains cool and collected in this perfect summer combination.

It's Sindy's last evening, she wears her snug batwing sweater and goes  for a long walk along the prom, remembering all the fun she's had on her summer holiday, one things for sure, she's be back again next year, and with a new wardrobe of wonderfully matched clothes to make the holiday extra special.
